Three Movies

UNDER FIRE

Likes:
-I like how the photographer and reporter have compassion on the people they're shooting and writing about.
-I like how this movie shows the morality issues that go along with a photographer or reporter's jobs. It's not always easy to do the right thing.
-I like the romance between the two.

Dislikes:
-Honestly, this movie bored me at times.
-I didn't really know the background information of what was going on in the movie so I found myself confused about several things.
-I really hated the part of the movie where the photographer's friend shot that guy cold-heartedly.

ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN

Likes:
-The two reporters were very funny and also very realistic.
-I like that we get to see the reporter's story for once. We never get that side of stories.
-I found the whole conspiracy interesting.

Dislikes:
-Again, I wish I knew a little bit more about Watergate and what exactly that was all about. I know a little about it, but not a whole lot.
-I didn't like that one editor who had no faith in the two reporters.
-I wanted to actually see Nixon since it is about him.

WE WERE SOLDIERS

Likes:
-This movie was very emotional.
-I like that we got to see the wives' point of view.
-I love Mel Gibson's character-his emotions and his humor.

Dislikes:
-It wasn't filmed the way a war movie should be filmed.
-I didn't like seeing the blood and the reality of people getting shot.
-I hated the part where his wife had to tell all the other wives their husbands had died.

Out of all three of these movies I think that "Under Fire" shows a photographer during war the best. The photographer in the movie was actually a main character and he had to shoot during a war. In "We Were Soldiers" the photographer/reporter doesn't even come in until the middle of the movie and he's not a main character. In "All the President's Men" there aren't any photographers. There's just the two reporters.

Strobe part one

I've never used strobe before and was a little unsure as to how it worked. At first, when I was using the speeds of 200, 150, 100 and so on it didn't seem like there was much of a difference. However, when I got the speeds down to 1 second she began to look like a ghost. I'm still unsure if I did the assignment correctly, but I could most defintely see a difference.
