Half Way to Spring

I woke up this morning to birds singing outside, the sun shining and the weather a perfect 75 degrees. After months of miserable freezing cold and wind this weekend offers so much hope for the coming months. We are now halfway through winter. The days are going to start getting longer, and warmer. Bitter cold with no snow at all is probably the worst kind of winter. I can't wait until I get to Nebraska and can enjoy the magic of that first snow fall. I can't wait to feel this warmth and see baby flowers popping up and hear the music of the birds on base. This spring I hope to get used to briefing, not be scared of it anymore. I want to learn to be a better Christian, a better wife and a better airman.

Plus, Valentine's Day is almost here. When I was single I used to HATE this day. It was just another reminder of what I didn't have but wanted. But now I have the gift of Josh in my life. Plus it's a great excuse to have a bunch of the second love of my life, CHOCOLATE! I really think love is magical. It can make you feel special and important and wanted. It can push you to do things and be someone you never would without it.
